Colors

Emeralds shining high above

Music in the air

A settling warmth washes through

The wind without a care

But then the gold breaks in

Emeralds replaced with fire

Crackling flames cool to the touch

But situation’s dire

And death sweeps in on bitter wings

And now all color’s lost

Humanity keeps hope alive

For ends of vicious frost

Alas what they’ve been waiting for

Comes with a rush of pink and green

There’s so much more there is to do

And so much to be seen
