The Colors Of Fall

Though autumn is a time of death in the world,

Nature taking one last breath in leaves curled,

It was like a moment of birth for me,

And led me to know the rest of me.

Walking around a quiet neighborhood,

On the way to nowhere with no particular mood,

I watched the colors flash around my eyes,

And how they seemed to be framed by the clouding skies.

Finding a meaning through the monotony of average days,

There was something within that orange blaze,

It seemed to light me up inside,

Or give me a reason to open my eyes.

It's amazing to think about it now,

How a simple act of nature or the arch of a brow,

Can inspire a life to be lived in the least expected of times,

In gentle fall days and stormy, harsh nights.
