Colors ... satire

Proverbs 8:13

13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;

Pride and arrogance and the evil way
And the perverse mouth I hate.

Satire

Red, white and blue the colors whatever they stand for

Black expresses more the condition of the nation

"Love for self" rules kicking in every door

Of the ones who don’t agree on our self-evaluation

Opinions rule the day … facts are just discarded

Like ketchup on everything we spill the blood of innocence

Little left to say over the dearly departed

Who were to make our life easier in our state of arrogance

We sing: “Love lifted me” as we’re picked up by the collar

To be lifted higher by our own loneliness

Sticking our own hearts in our self-made gallows

Glued by our desires to our state of selfishness

Self-inflicted wounds daily we are licking

Blaming everyone but ourselves

Scarred all over as our clock keeps ticking

Slowly fade away in our chosen spell

Weapons of self-destruction fill our own hearts

Indifferent and insensitive toward the plight of others

Waiting for the induction by the time we depart

In the hall meant for us … why should we even bother?
