Colossians 1:15-20

The Image with power creating all things

Angels shining faces, covered with wings

Eternity is His heavenly view

Yet He descended to an earthly hue

Head of the church, Lord of His people

Yet lifted up, His heart was feeble

The fullness of God in Him did dwell

All to rescue His people from hell

Preeminent and all-sustaining

His righteousness, never waning

Reconciling His purchased bride

To His own, heaven's gates swing wide

And for Him all things exist

Yet the nations shake their fist

From Him and through Him and to Him forever

His love to reconcile, never to sever
