Colours

Red they say stands for love or admiration

Oh darling, my heart must have been bright red the day I saw you

Yellow they say stands for optimism and cheer

My love, my smile must have shone like the sun when you smiled at me

Turquoise they say stands for a clarity of minds

Baby, my mind must have poured a sea of turquoise the day you kissed me

Green they say stands for envy

Darling, my eyes must have seared green when I saw you with her

Gray they say stands for detachment

Honey, your heart must have turned gray when you looked at me

Black they say stands for emptiness

Oh my love, my soul must have turned black the day you said good-bye

Dark blue they say stands for depression

Baby, my entire body must have turned blue when I saw you kiss her
