Columbia

This means redemption- but it also means shooting for an impossible goal, which is terrifying.

I was always discouraged and now the sudden chance to prove myself.

I have to drop all my mediocre aspirations I had grown accustom to expecting to pursue.

Now I must come to terms with having the world at my finger tips and the power and control to reach it,

Yet, the likelihood that my greatest try will only get me so far, and I will fall before I reach the dream.

I’ve never had something like this- it feels like sadness, though I know it shouldn’t.

I have this greatness I need within me, yet I doubt I can summon it in time.

I had become so comfortable with the thought of mediocrity.

And now I am so scared.
