Coma Americana

I had a lady, whose heart was mine

I ran her away, In No Time at all

I watched that dead man fall

Towers fall and dreams are crushed

American ones left as dust and rust

It is tyranny or bust

The devils eyes see black and white

But then glow red every night it’s true

They’re looking out for you

Wicked lies consume the news

As freedom takes another bruise

We’ll lose our rights down to our shoes

The eyes of poor search those of rich

For sympathy, but there ain’t no stitch to find

Now walk on down that line

They pump us full of lies and drugs

Like flies to sties and salts to slugs

We’re dust best swept under their rugs.
