Come away with me

Come away with me, he said. Away to the sea and the sand and the hovering sun, Hugging the horizon, bidding it’s final farewell to the waves. Come away with me, he said, His voice coming out like sweet nectar. Come away to the mountains and the forests and the rolling hills, That paint the landscape greater than any artist. Come away with me, he said, To the ruins, the bricks, the lifted dust of Some far gone city, where lives were lived and Love was found. Come away with me, he said, His lips moved like flower petals in the wind, Away to life and adventure and the journey Of love.
