Come Closer

As the people around me creep nearer

i want to run and hide

don't get too close, there is much surprise

as the people around me creep nearer

there is nothing to see here

they begin to see the smoke and mirrors

as the people around me creep nearer

the patches on my soul revealed

i have tried to repair myself and heal

as the people around me creep nearer

the darkness of my past seeps out

don't look, why do i shout

as the people around me creep nearer

my fathers death lingers in my heartbeat

why was he not secure in the cars seat

as the people around me creep nearer

alcohol leaks from mothers veins

she left, then left pain

as the people around me creep nearer

i cry hysterically, this isn't me

too much for you all to see

as the people around me creep nearer

now you realize, your view is changed

from you saw, the real me is not the same

As the people around me creep nearer
