Come Walk Down To The River

Come walk down to the river tonight, And I promise you no city lights Just watch as the world's own fireflies Very slowly, light up the skies. We will stay and hear the world in perfect harmony, Singing birds and soft waves making their own melody Up till dawn we can do our best Talking and laughing as the other world rests. Not much more peaceful than this can be Come walk down to the river tonight and you will see We can make a fire and count shooting stars Collect pebble stones and those fireflies in our jars. We will have the light of the world right in our hand Wouldn't you much rather be here than on city land? Throwing the stones back in the water and letting go of the fireflies And yet there is no need to say any goodbyes Let's try and give this a chance This is worth a lifetime of remembrance Come let's walk out of the city lights Let’s walk down to the river tonight.
