Comfort
Ignorance stares into my eyes,
It's cold grip grasping at the seams of my heart,
I peer into it,
"What do you want me to do?" I ask,
It had been like this for so long,
I had fallen for its lowly ways myself,
Just trying to make sense of who I really was,
When I was really becoming someone else,
A person that my father and mother would accept,
A person I could think of and feel secure,
A person just like everyone else,
A person that didn't hurt anymore,
When all along I knew why I hurt so bad,
The dishonesty I fed myself was bullshit,
Just a plot of normalcy ruled by my consciousness,
Just trying to live by the laws of ignorance,
But when I step past the boundaries that I've been told separate right from wrong,
Ruled by those who hold their ears closed tightly,
I see that ignorance can not keep me away,
I realize now the joy of my reality
