Comfort in Compimise

Love is not a free ride.

It does not come in and out with the Tide.

Not some sort of trend that goes out with the Wind.

Love is a compromise.

a way to untangle all the lies.

Love is not built on deceit.

Nor is it for the weak.

you have to be quick on your Feet.

Love isn’t something you can cheat.

Love takes work for it to show it’s worth.

That’s why because I Love you.

I won’t hide my flaws nor hide my face  when I fall from your grace.

Because I Love you.

I will not say okay  when you do something I hate.

Nor will I let you take everything off my Plate.

I will not slide or die for your joy ride.

But because I Love you.

I will go through all sorts of hell.

To make sure you are well.

Because I Love you.

I will drive all night so you’ll make your flight.

Even though it’s a pain I won’t complain.

Cause I know you’d do the same.

Because I Love you.

I will leave you alone and not control your phone when your not home.

When you are safe I will give you your space.

Because I Love you.

When you cry I will be by your side and take a couple stabs when you are mad.

But I won’t sit and stay to be some sort of prey you can slay.

Because I Love You.

I Will walk with you till the end.

But I will not hold your hand.

Love is not a war nor is it a fun game.

It is boundaries and consent.

That leaves you tired and spent.
