Comfort is Key

At school sitting in my desk

Listening to the teacher drone on and on

My back is killing me

The wooden seat does not feel good on my tush

If we are the students, why do we get the short end of the stick?

If we are supposed to be getting a "quality education", why can't we have quality desks?

Heating and air conditioning is another issue

In the dead of winter, the classrooms are either boiling hot or freezing cold

During spring and summer, we are sweating in our seats, practically panting

They still expect us to pay complete attention as we waste away into puddles of sweat

How am I supposed to concentrate when it is practically a military training test whenever I walk into the classroom?

Forced to do math problems in intense heat

Pressured to do well while my body is hurting

And they wonder why students drop out
