Comfort (In your arms)

Pull me into your arms

tonight

whisper reassurances

as you smother me

with true and pure love.

Comfort me and

hold me tightly,

don't ever let me go.

Let me know

just how much you

love me by

teaching and guiding me

down the right path.

Help me

never to doubt

your perfect love and to

trust in

your absolute righteousness and

all surpassing great character.

Hold me in your arms tonight,

wipe the tears from my eyes and

the fears that burrow deeply into

my soul with barbed hooks.

Show my faults mercy

just as I strive to be

just like you and

forgive others just as you

forgive me.

Hold me in your arms tonight

that I will never

forget just how

wide, long, deep, and high

is your love.

HOLD ME

in your arms tonight

and keep me safe

from the wolf and

the lion

that both prowl

outside my window.

Hold me in your arms tonight

so that I know,

so that I never forget that

you are in control and

you love me,

 so I will not fear.

Hold me in your arms tonight.
