Comfort Zones

i kept to myself

found the one person in class i've known for years, stuck by their side

didn't speak, handed work in on time, did the bare minimum

not in your class

i was impossible to ignore, spoke the whole period, talked to everyone

put in the extra work, went to extra help even when i did't need it

your class was my comfort zone

you helped calm me down when i had panic attacks, made me realize how smart i am

got me to help out with the track team and tutor my friends

you got rid of my comfort zones

i couldn't be more thankful
