The Coming of Age

The Coming of Age

By: Gianna Eldridge

Growing up has lots of faults,

some stick with you,

and some dont.

Once you realize you have decisions to make

you no longer live in an adolescent state.

Being a teen means very little,

when you have big dreams to settle.

Realizing who you are

is what makes or breaks you

and tells if you’re to be torn to shards.

College is the biggest step,

it allows kids to know what is next.

Choosing where to go,

and who to be,

it gives a very shortened lead.

I think picking is hardest.

Finding myself was next.

In order to find myself in the slightest,

I had to do what was best,

and make the right decision.
