Coming of Age

Let's have a heart to heart moment

About where I am going

From how I was and how I am still growing.

From being a kid in my little world

To a young adult in a bigger world.

From having my parents do things for me

To me handling my on things that are best for me.

From living at home with no worries

Then off to college with only worries.

Being on my own and trying to find myself

It is like putting away all the kid things on a shelf.

This is my coming of age

Where I flip the page.

This what you would call the circle of life

Where we all have to grow up in our own time.

In this day and age

It is my coming of age

From a child to a young woman making a way.
