Coming Home
She climbs trees on weekdays
chases dreams to send her fears away
and doesnt care what people say
shes home grown
and all alone
with no place to call home
she never knows when to call her friends
just struggles along beating against pavement
her feet tapping a never ending rhythm
hips swinging to catch up with them
she doesn't mind wasting time
shes home grown
and all alone
with no place to call home
she never misses a chance to smile
afterall she's just a child
and the world hasn't tarnished her charm
She's just down on her luck
and a little stuck
but she hasn't given up yet
she's home grown
and all alone
sweeping and sashaying
and shimmy shaking
finding her way home
shes got a dance to finish
just lifts her arms and spins in it
yeah she's on the way home
she's got a long way to go
but she's coming home
