Coming Out

I hear her weeping Her cries and yells Everything is cold Everything is dark I am -alone- with her tears and nothing is heard but the weeping All through the house, There is no escaping the sounds of her tears The cries -pierce- through walls Through the pillow over my head And they -strangle- me My music plays loudly, fighting the sounds of sobs But nothing is heard but the weeping The -disappointment- she feels The -shame- In who I am Who I think I may be Years gone by With a smile on my face I hear it. Not the laughs of friends Not the songs of joy I still hear nothing but the weeping
