Coming Out

Self-expression is underrated.

If your friends don’t know you,

As one you’re understated.

He, she, they debated;

Your identity is who you are.

There is no debate in how you are created.

Coming out as unrelated

To the normal conforming type,

Is hard when anything not “normal” is hated.

So the wish you luck belated.

They think your life is pain,

They’re thinking that you would trade it,

But you would rather save it,

Because this is who you are.

Not proud, it’s comfortable; something you were made with.

So be happy because you braved it.

I know that you will make it.

You’re a bright star in the sky;

You shine and you can break it.
