Comma , Letter Scholarship

Dear Comma,

You separate yourself,

From all other punctuation marks.

You are my favorite,

Always used,

In all of my poetry.

You outweigh all the periods here.

If we were to gather you all up,

Your scale would reach the floor.

You are my friend.

Only pausing,

Waiting for me.

As my church says,

“Never place a period where God has placed a comma,

God is still speaking.”

And so am I,

Through you Comma.

Love Christina Hellums
