Common Enemy

The whole world has one common enemy

It’s shared by all and has no remedy

It is known as a the wrong side of the bed

It’ll ruin your day and hurt your head

Keep your foot asleep when you have to walk

And make you stutter when you have to talk

It’ll fog your memory when you think

You will choke on the liquids that you drink

Nothing good will happen, you will see red

All because of the wrong side of the bed

I'm a High school senior that loves poetry and the way poetry can alter perspectives. I write more than just poetry and the poems posted by me on this forum differ based on the emotion being expressed while writing the piece.
