Common thoughts

Proverbs 28:26 New English Translation (NET Bible)

26 The one who trusts in his own heart is a fool,
but the one who walks in wisdom will escape.

Common

Roaming thoughts a common thing in my life of slowly weaning

Now replacing dreams lost long ago in a life that seems demeaning.

How did I get into this shape and what did it take to get here?

Was it driven by uncertainty or influenced by my unknown peers?

Seems so simple and so easy to pull away from an unknown destiny

and accept this as a state of mind  to be infested by deep uncertainty.

Into the emptiness of things saved in banks of my own making

Surrounded by glitter and noise that dresses up by my own faking.

Like silk flowers mixed with real and adored by the masses

Until the real shrivels up and only the pure silk surpasses

Adoration for the man-made grows and the real becomes a nuisance.

I guess the world is made of this as it has lost most of its prudence.
