The Communal Laundry Room

It's 1 a.m. in the laundry room

And I wait for my clothes to dry.

When I have a vision of a tomb.

In this tomb is my childhood, why?

I realize in this lonely moment...

I am an adult,

I look out the window and see my college.

Mom and dad aren't here to take care of me,

I am here to grow as a person and get knowledge.

I had an amazing childhood, and it will be

With me wherever I go.
