They sleep on the dirt while you sleep in a bed

They walk miles for dirty water while you take a step for clean hydration

They use a hole while you have the pleasure of indoor plumbing

They walk barefoot while you have the comfort of cushioned shoes

They acquire one set of clothes while you can’t decide what to wear

Little kids with dirt apart of their skin

Tossed to the curb as if they merely cease to exist

When did a life and precious breath become nothing?

Why is your life worth more than theirs?

This problem and issue will be eradicated

Their education level and life expectancy will sky-rocket

I’ll be the engineer known for his helping hand

This problem and issue will be eradicated

If it’s the last thing I do
