A Community Untouched

My head fills with the broken screams and angered shouts of tortured adolescents, Youthful faces streamlined with tears and plastered with cover up products. The smell of burnt hair and sweet perfumes attempt to mask the pain that travels through internal rivers. I touch the quivering bodies with reassuring hands, "Calm down," "speak to me," "lend me some of your burden," "unleash all of your pain." The haze of ignorance is so thick, it will take a legacy to uncover a community untouched.
