The Comparison

I am always comparing myself to them

And it always goes two ways

I wonder why I can't be that thin

Or I will be like him who can't stay

Everyone has their problems

But they do it with such grace

All the artist writing it in their albums

But they don't say everything I face

I cherish every complement

Until one comment is said

It makes me think more and more

Until my mind is made

I will never be like them

I start to spiral

In an endless tunnel winding thin

I will have to run the extra mile

They seem flawless

Whats wrong with me

The endless cycle

The shame no one will see

I see her with him wishing I could have the same

She eats three meals am I going insane

I know I'll never be her

I have to stop listening to my heart

and start using my brain

I skip meals

There still better

I don't know how it feels

To feel lighter than a feather

They can sing and dance

They can act

I never had the chance

Because of years I will never get back
