compass

if he really wants to see

me tear myself apart

then in the process

he'll realize everything i ever said

that the monsters were never in his head

i have the monsters inside of me

I've been fighting them for an eternity

but just for a little while

i will let them out,

and he will see me tear myself apart.

and i'm only doing this because i have so much great despair

so much love to give without a care,

i rather run wild & free

at least for a little while

because I've always been able to

pick myself back up better

after I've destroyed what was left

in the present me.

i love him too much,

it's too great to bear,

it's nothing i'm used to

since i've always loved myself

first and formeost

morre than anyone out there

but i really want to feel everything of him again

for the last time

but i'm really tired of having my heart torn out

and having to pick up the pieces myself.

i fall asleep crying just about every night,

one day will be our time

maybe, just maybe

but lately it's just not right.

the next time he says whatever he does,

i will tell him once and for all

to make up his mind.

you can't just love me for a day

and ignore me for a month.

if you really want me

prove it to me,

until then nothing is for certain anymore.

so i rather chase the monsters

and walk right out the door.

have some fun and fall apart,

at least maybe then he'll realize

everything that I've ever said.

that nothing was in his head.

it was everything he was looking for.

dreamerypeak

I've always kept whatever I wrote to myself, stored away. The reason being is because back in high school I used to write every year for the literary garland. And finally I became a senior and wanted to join their new, "Creative Writing" class. You had to go through an interview, the funny thing is they told me, "I don't think this is for you." Irony. In the end they ended up picking all their favorite students and being a shit class with nothing productive. I've been out of high school for almost 6 years now and I don't remember much of what I've learned, because they never taught me anything useful. I like being able to express myself in more ways than one, writing is just one of them. Fashion is a daily one.
