Compass

Love is patient.

Love is strong.

Love can withstand any distance.

Our distance is 267.7 miles.

Because I love you,

I can stand the distance.

Our love is like a spinning compass that never stops.

Hurtling us into a universe that we have no control over.

Splitting us into two, but then putting us back together in a different time.

To "it", we are a spinning arrow that has no idea what direction we'll land on,

but we still have each other no matter our destination.

We can paint the universe on our hands,

and follow stars that lead back to one another,

because that is our love.

With our love,

I will wait.

You will wait.

Wait until I can see you again.

Wait for the chance to feel our lips collide,

and smell the sweet scent of cologne as we hold each tightly.

I can wait to see how you look in person,

instead of on a six by six inch screen.

I can wait to see you clearly,

without the continuous pauses of poor internet connection

and terrible cell service.

You say we are not our parents.

That we are two different individuals that make mistakes,

but not the same.

You said that our love is different, because we can forgive.

It may be hard to forget, but we know that our love is stronger than that.

That no more how hard or difficult the circumstances may be we will try.

You say that because you love me.

Just because I love you.

You are my best friend.

Our love has made me a better person.

One that wants to succeed and see you by my side doing the same.

I'm giving you my heart.

The heart that will share your passion, your hopes, and your dreams.

I will be the one to stand by you on that spinning compass.

Just because I love you.
