Compassion of Two Hearts Unfolding

Compassion of our hearts is what makes our love pure,

so much intimacy my heart cannot endure.

Your love defies me,

especially when you yell and tell lies to me.

But, because I love you there’s one thing for sure,

no matter of my sickness, you're my cure.

Beyond the day of my prolonged existence,

from the day i met you, it was a path of persistence.

You might say I’m shy and unsure alike,

but, i would give all that i am to hold you through the night.

From the day i said, "I Do",

was my promise of forever walking hand-in-hand with you.

You re-taught me a language that i thought was lost,

your image in my heart is forever embossed.

To love and never lust,

Ashes to ashes, and dust to dust.

Beyond the pain and all I’ve been through,

i tolerate it, because I couldn't imagine a life without you.

If it is a lifetime or one-hundred years,

no matter of the pain, I’ll smile with tears.

Because I love you, you know that i will,

the smile of  your face, makes my heart stand still.

A million miles I would walk through freezing snow,

just to see you and allow my passion to show.

Frozen stiff and frosty frigid,

a chiseled heart, wintery and rigid.

To be bold enough to tell you how i feel,

for how my love for you is unconditionally real.

To the end of the world,

thirty degrees below,

I'll love you forever,

This I want you to know.
