Compassionless World

My head is flooded with emotions,

a river of happiness, frustration,  and rage .

The world is lonely without compassion,

or ears to absorb the feelings pouring from my soul.

My head is pounding, nearing explosion .

full mind, a pad of paper, a pen.

Pain streams onto the paper

leaving behind a beautiful imprint

that can be absorbed into the soul of others

filling the world with compassion.
