"you're mysterious." 

well, you're pretty and strong and everything i wish i could be. 

"it might be your coat." 

my coat doesn't make me look half as good as anything you wear makes you look. 

"i don't know anything you about you." 

i don't want you to know anything about me. 

"you had long hair then."

you had long hair then too. 

"i don't remember seeing you there."

i don't remember seeing you there either. 

"i liked him." 

i liked him too. i liked you too. 

"i haven't seen that guy in a week." 

i saw him earlier that day. 

"the first thing i noticed about you were your eyebrows."

i noticed your eyes.
