My insides

feel a little dark

queasy

when I think about it truthfully

but I need it

the adrenaline rushing

heartbeat reaches my ears and overwhelms my thoughts

the desire to win crawls up me

a sick fungus

putridly festering

and yet I love it.

Dismissive glares to the girl next to me

baring my teeth as we prepare ourselves

to dive in.
