Complications of the Heart

My overwhelming thoughts

A heartache

That cold december evening

an important meeting

an introduction

an attraction

I miss it, miss hearing you-me-us

genuine conversations with coffee, our laughter

our first kiss

blissful memories- the feeling of butterflies in my stomach.

Then that cold january morning

your departure

I missed you, I loved you -I still do

long distance relationship

was like a supernova -at first bright then it got dark

you met someone else

I broke.

Paths crossed us again

and again -and again

still broken up

why do we still come back to each other?

you broke me like a crystal

not once

not twice

but many times.

Why do I miss you so much?

why do I miss those beautiful memories?

I don’t know

neither do you so we wait to meet again soon, hopefully.
