Comprehension

Ecclesiastes 8:16-17 New International Version - UK (NIVUK)

16 When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to observe the labour that is done on earth – people getting no sleep day or night – 17 then I saw all that God has done. No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. Despite all their efforts to search it out, no one can discover its meaning. Even if the wise claim they know, they cannot really comprehend it.

Boundaries and limitations

Growing in stature with man

relying on their perception

Developing your sources in hand

reflecting the right impression

As you grow and expand

to the limits of your comprehension,

which are set in gift and time

through creation’s intervention.

Others see in your degrees

the limits of understanding

and in that man can overreach

even though most are pretending.

To be known more by your limit

as a source for the all-knowing

is a sad continues repeat

of ignorance always growing.

Man wants to show what is not his

and if needed through by force he gathers,

the things for the glory to himself

becomes a trap light as a feather.
