Compromise

Flames of passion,

fire in the soul.

Heat of a fashion,

that longs to take control.

Ice in the veins,

cold in the heart.

Not truly living,

because the beat won't start.

You should be cold

and keep a level head.

You should be hot

and all restraints shed.

Where do we compromise?

Where do they meet?

What is the balance

of ice and heat?
