I'm not gonna give you the deal about my supposed "troubled childhood"

Half the teens these days just need an excuse for a little sympathy.

I. Have. No. Story.

My life is the same almost everyday.

Wake up, go to the college, do work. go to work, go to sleep.

Digging myself a rut, one scoop of dirt at a time.

Leaving high school, sure sounds like it sucks.

But high school, you put yourself behind this fake lense.

This lense that says, "CONFORM CONFORM CONFORM"

"GET GOOD GRADES, VOLUNTEER, BE IN SPORTS."

"TAKE CLASSES THAT WILL HELP YOU IN NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM."

For the longest time, I let that stupid little number on the bottom of my transcript run my life.

Little miss 4.0 is what they used to call me, but of course I didn't care.

It ran my life, until I actually attended college.

In college, NO ONE KNOWS YOUR STORY.

And you get to pick who does.

Growing up in an all-white school made me very reserved, and unaware.

Going to college and being taught the real issues in life really flips your perspective on life.

I no longer talk to anyone in my highschool, and my 2 of my 3 best friends are the most wonderful, and amazing black men you will ever meet.

Being taught that they are lazy, and many other derragatory names, has made me HATE my highschool.

They are the most empowered, hard-working, funny and loyal friends I could ever ask for.

The day I graduate too, I can wait to give my Valedictorian speech, and have those friends cheer me on.

And join them in my next adventure call life.

High school sucks, college is a whole different world.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, not in the color of their skin.

This is me with no filter.

How. I. Feel.
