Computer Science in Situ

The screen reflects upon this face,

now young, but someday lines will be etched

upon this youthful edifice...

Fingers fly in unison...my colleagues, seeking meaning...

world wide web of complexity, looking for knowledge across

the globe...speaking to Japanese friends, desiring culture

and infusing it within my own thought processes.

Twisting wires, combining hardware, toying with software...

teaching and learning from others across skype computer

proliferated images.

The future in technology, yet infusing old world cultures,

songs, dance, and music in order to understand others...

to bring together people so different yet so alike

in their aspirations to learn.

I am but a soul searching for the ultimate fusion

of science, technology, and the archaic

hoping that all I shall see, brought from sages beyond the miles,

shall come across boundless wires, microchips, satellites,

and electrical impulses -- these fingertips modifying them

to bring the world and education home.
