I know the brakes are screeching, that bright noise On this beautiful little Train car Rolling towards, maybe, something bigger And if it's okay with you I'd like to discover the destination. Mind if i stop the screeching? See, we just started but I'm not ready to give up the Discovery of you. I'd like to hear the stories Beneath your scars And i want to find out What makes your face fold Into that smile, That almost secretive grin. I want to memorize that Network of past laughs around your eyes, I'd like to learn your favorite everything And I want to know how you like your eggs. Because the thing is I took a leap for you Into the inky black I'm not a gambler but for once My daydreams paid off- But not enough. I didn't want you because of your model status. Don't get me wrong- I don't mind the muscles, the height that makes my neck crane for a kiss, Your chiseled jaw and straight features; But you captured me in your grin, your eyes, Sweet like rainwater in the woods and the way you Use only so many words, not needing the attention and Not afraid of a little silence. I like that we have all these moments, These moments where the possibilities unfolded until finally We grabbed the opportunity. We're so alike, You're so like the people I love most, And we watch all the same shows. You're so down-to-earth that your toes are dirty from the soil and You're so sweet, when you steal cookies with that wicked grin Stretching your face. Your flaws make me laugh and that makes me want to remember Every inch of you, so please, Let me stop the screeching Let this train roll on Let's find out where we're headed.
