Concealed

You crumpled me like a paper you second guessed.

I am scratched out words written in black, dark ink.

I demand to be read,

But no one will hear the cries.

Droplets fade into the paper,

soaking words into splotches

creating smudges on my soul.

Useless words become tainted water full of agony,

praying for a glimpse of sunshine,

yearning, seeking purpose,

But you, you gave up.

You wrote me with purpose,

filled me with life onto that perfectly parched paper,

only to be tossed into the beyond

Why did you give up?
