The Conch

The crisp, clear, call of the conch lures me with its lovely ocean lullaby. The face of the moon is mirrored magically on the glass like surface of the sparkling sea. The waves either calm or crashing wildly. The ocean stretches a far distance as I can see. Admired by its pleasing sight, or so it seems. Under its depth it’s much too murky to see, I am left to wonder if it’s more interesting. I realize this can’t just be a body of water maybe a mysterious monster plotting an evil deed A moment later the conch’s sound is music to my ears I am drawn to the deep, dark, desolate sea. I then notice that I have been hypnotized, I am in a trance and I can’t turn back. Battling something I can’t see or probably isn’t there I finally give in due to lack of oxygen I know that my eyes are closed yet I can see perfectly I feel a tug to my arm and I turn to see A creature lurking in the gloomy water I notice its voice is similar to that of the conch’s. Then it hits me that there was never a conch. A magical Siren has done this there is no escape.
