Concrete Daggers

These sidewalks we've made They're just another shield One more way to ease what encompasses us We try so hard to be numb to the nature We are power fiends Trying to control everything Make it as convenient for us as we can Who cares about with whom this world we share We don't need to adapt to this world Well just adjust it to our liking We've become so powerful that we control evolution Not just doing its job but depleting its existence in our lives

I've been writing poetry for about two years now, I just finished my first year at Purdue and I am a gymnast, parkour enthusiast, longboarder and I do pretty much every other extreme sport, and I adore nature.
