Confession

Hate is a word that's in my vocabulary
But I don't do what all of you r doing
Helping all the people around me to get all the violence out their head to create unity
Don't commit crime cause I know that ain't me
My bro went to a old friend's house
Bang! Friend shot dead, blood gushing out like my guts being ripped out my head
I took the blame for him
Told everyone "Yeah, it was me."
When I knew I was saving him and myself since they were scared of me
Wasn't trying to get him shot and knew that wasn't me
Just trying to save his life somehow
I didn't know what I would get myself into
But still I took the blame
10 years spent in a world of darkness
Everyone was looking down on me
Rather take the blame from him
Knowing that he had beef with that friend caused drama over something real small
Like that girl who didn't seem good at all
Just wish I knew what was said in that call
Asked him, "Where you going?"
He said, "Don't worry 'bout me."
Knowing he would get in trouble just like he always does
But yet I couldn't find a way to stop him from going
Tree roots crying and smeared with blood
Knowing that what happened was so sudden
My brother was a good man but he let one little thing change his life forever
People jumping like the hairs on the back of their neck
Tell me that wasn't right
