Confession.

"She wears a hidden smile on her face,

She has a beautiful laugh that lies,

She feels so out of place,

But she never cries."

These were the first words I wrote,

Fourteen years alone.

Just another lost soul.

I remember writing my confession.

Poetry was my only source of expression.

I have spent countless days,

Thinking of countless ways,

To make this pain go away,

Too many sleepless nights,

But I found my light,

The end of my fight.

I was invisible

Hidden behind a shadow.

I was invisible

Thought I'd forever walk alone.

I was invisible

Unable to reach where I wanted to go.

Everything was crashing down on me.

Everything was strangling me.

I looked through the glass on the wall,

And saw a broken girl ready to fall.

I'm unbroken, goodbye to the pain.

I've finally spoken, my life has changed.

I took a stand.

The storm is over.

Happiness is in my hands.

The hurricane is over.

Take a look at me.

What do you see?

I'm not what I used to be.

Within poetry, I found the real me.
