confessions of indolence
how can i be so many people
bound by one skin?
am i one dreaming soul
or a thousand tiny fragments
by the chaos in my mind
you would not know
what is this deep insatiable hunger
this overflowing madness
followed at calm intervals by a
supreme serenity
there are galaxies of desire within me
and they do not speak a single language
the Babylon of my heart
is reaching for clouds this moment
and confessing indolent love of earth
at the next
to whom do i belong, you ask?
the spirit of sweet disquiet
