Confessions of Pain

Silky scars, so smooth and sweet.
Her skin is marred with beautiful deceit.
The angels could never have foretold,
The pain her tired soul holds.
Hides so much for the sake of her friends.
But inside, she just wants the hiding to end.
Some might believe they understand,
Why she delivers pain with her own hand.
But when she tries to explain,
No one gets the true agonizing pain.
Some people live in a drug haze,
But she survives in a painful daze.
Not everyone approves of her.
As she whispers, “I’m just cold, sir.”
In the end, she may be stronger,
Because her tactics help her hold on longer.
The damage has been done.
And when all is said and done, she’ll say, “It was fun.”
