Confidence

A long time ago

I was scared to express my truth

I thought it would mess with the flow

That is until I got punched in the tooth

From that day forth

I did not bow to fear

And let it determine my worth

My words like a spear

I held my head high

My confidence a brilliant shield

Against those who would see me cry

My fate was sealed

And I will NOT yield
