Confidence and Insecurity

Confidence gliding down the sidewalk,

tall and proud, with his head held high,

not noticing… all the

                        little details.

But smiling and saying

HELLO! to everyone

carefully watching his steps.

Insecurity dragging… its… feet,

hunched over and looking

                                         down

                                                towards her feet.

Sad with being on the verge

to cry and afraid that

everyone is starring and pointing.

Insecurity was looking down- not paying attention.

Confidence was looking up and ahead- not noticing what’s in front of him.

Both colliding,

he… stumbles…

                             she falls.

Helping off the ground,

Insecurity darted away from Confidence crying,

Confidence kept on walking along.
