In the Confines


reflective cries bounce off of walls walls that crowd and suffocate the inhabitant the one they call me, the one who roams with particulars unknown, bar none favors passed out accordingly to the seekers who don't cheat to the ones whose gentle rapport becomes instantaneous and spreads like wildfire coursing through my veins at such an alarming rate I cry, remembering the quickness with which bone racking, blood curdling cries I bounced off these walls an awful long time ago the tormentors that never ceased, but let on their rants and raves for as long as my feeble, yet developed mind allowed my morals were yet to be set still being carefully contemplated, among other things and within the confines of this very room, long ago considered a chamber of hurt and pain I now bounce laughter, and love simultaneously, as the years, laughs, smiles, and joys of my life pass me by I watch glimpses of my future from afar, as memories of past pass me by I find solace in the glimpses I catch of you But really it's just a moment of minute in the mirror i'm peeking through
