Conflict that I Contain
You yell at me
I hear you scream
Full of internal agony
My ringing ears
Prevent my tears
From burning my paper skin
All the words cut like knives
In the tissue
Of my brain
Feel the pain resonate
With who I have become
A shadow is cast
As the pain lasts
Drilling through my skull
Shattering bone on bone
As my body hurdles toward home
My lungs on fire
Burning desire to feel
Or be felt by the impartial wind
That may just send me
Over the edge
